The presenter will discuss the therapist’s roles and responsibilities while working with the grieving child.  The focus will be on creative and engaging play therapy techniques for use in assessment and treatment.

This is our survey page.  We solicit your input and views.  Our effort here is a continuation of a practice that we began years ago at our play therapy events.
The board of GAPT believes that the success we have in promoting play therapy will be enhanced by the participation of all.  We want those who have an interest in play therapy to provide us with the benefit of their experience so that we can consider all possible ways to promote play therapy.
Currently our questionnaire is general and designed to allow you to explore your imagination and creativity.  Please be comfortable providing us all of your suggestions.  Complicated suggestions requiring an involved explanation are most welcome as well as simple ideas requiring only a short note.

Shannon Eller, owner of Brighter Tomorrows Consulting, is an LPC, LMFT, RPT, CPCS, ICCAADC, ICCDP-D, and ICCS.  Brighter Tomorrows has been offered full provider/training status through the Association for Play Therapy ( to offer the full coursework necessary to become a registered play therapist.  Shannon offers 25 workshops designed to meet all 150 core education hours needed for counselors seeking to become play therapists.  She is also certified as a Master’s level teacher, holding valid State of Georgia teaching certification.  The classes are interesting, integrative, experiential, and fun.  Counselors who have taken a master’s level play therapy class automatically receive 67.5 contact hours through the Association for Play Therapy.  Counselors who have not had a graduate level play therapy course can still meet all of the 150 core education hours needed at Brighter Tomorrows Consulting (APT 10-278).  Coursework includes workshops on ethics, sand tray, puppets, storytelling, trauma, grief, and loss, addictions, play therapy theories and foundations, and many other topics.  Classes can be structured around your individual schedule or can be incorporated in workshop trainings offered at Brighter Tomorrows Consulting.  Play Therapy supervision can also be provided while you are working toward your goal of becoming a play therapist.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
